Earl Sparks Victim When Skate Strikes Eye.â€"Falls GALT, Jan. 24.â€"A very unforâ€" tunate accident befell Earl Sparks, principal of the Drumbo public echool, on Friday when his eye was se badly lacerated in a fall at a huckey game that it was removed by an eye specialist at the Galt Hosâ€" j‘tal the same evening. The victim was scheduled to write part of his R.A. exam at Brantford the next cay. He will be confined to the hosnital for some time. Drumbo Teacher Loses an Eye The accident occurred in the third I pcriod of an Oxford West â€" Dumâ€" fries Rural Hockey League game between Ayr and Drumbo. As Sparks speeded down the ice he fell as he scored the tying goal for his tcom. While lying on the ice a skate from an opposing player| struck his eye. At the hospital, after careful examination, it was found the eye ball to be so badly impaired that removal of the eye was decided upon.
