Roy Robbins, Oscar Lutz, Art Wagner and Waiter Wilken members of the Elmira creamery staff, attended the annual creameryâ€" men‘s course of the Dairy Departâ€" ment Ontario Agricultural College, Guelph, for aeveral days. Successful Auction Sales. The late Mr. Ainsworth, was a veâ€" teran of the Imperial Army for 19 years, having served on the Channel lslands. in India and in Egypt. Durâ€" ing the World War, he served the entire four years in France. At one stage of the war, he suffered from a gas attack and this helped to hasten death. Among the beautiful floral tokens, was one from the veteran organizaâ€" tion of Elmira many of whom attendâ€" ed the funeral. Attended Creamery Course. The funeral was held on Monday ofternoon at the United Church for services. Rev. J. U. Stewart of the United Church officiated. Walter D. Ainsworth died suddenâ€" ly from an attack of pneumonia on Friday night following an iliness of only eight days. The late Mr. Ains: worth was born in Engand 50 years ago and came to Canada in 1921. He was matrried in England to Alexanâ€" dria Low. He is survived by his wiâ€" dow, one daughter Ethel, one son Leslie and mother at home. Boehmer, Waterloo‘s veteran shoe repair man this week Observed his 45th year in business, having started April ist 1888 in a building near the City hotel block. Mr. Bochmer from 1886 to 1888 continued a shoe repair business in Milverton and prévious to that learnâ€" ed his trade at Fred Bornholdt‘s at Kitchoner. He also worked at the Merchner shop at Waterioo. Mr. Bochmer, who e now 78 years, has been suecessful in his trade and conâ€" tinues to cater to the wants of peoâ€" Second prize was won by Jack Boyd, speaking on "Canadian progâ€" resa and confederation", and third prize went to Stanley Hohl. He was in his 58th year. He was a salesman for the Syd Bauman A former .%oolvich township resident died at the K.â€"W. Hospital at 6.46 o‘clock Sunday morning, in the person of Sydney Bauman, 136 Water street south, a Kitchener cement contractor. Mr. Bauman, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Menno Bauâ€" man was aged 50 {enn. He was a member of the Calvary Memorial Church. She married George Hermann in 1897. Surviving are a husband, ong son, Henry, at home, three daughâ€" ters, Mrs. Addison Schmidt, Hampâ€" stead, North Euth:';;e, Mrs. Lorne Sinclair of Stratford, and Viola at home; also one stepâ€"daughter, Mrs. William Welker, of East Zorra, and seven grandchildren. One son, Anâ€" drew, died five years ago. _ _ _ The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon with private services at her late home and sublic services at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastoâ€" The resignations of three provinâ€" cial constables of Kitchener district, have been accepted by Major Generâ€" al Willlams, commissioner of police, following an investigation into imâ€" proper gonduct on the part of D. R. Stewart, Wm. Ferguson and Bert Widmeyer. Another officer T. R. Richardson is still under suspension. The charges against the officers had to do with liquor and women. The funeral was held on Wednesâ€" day afternoon with services at his home and at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastopol. Mrs. George Hermann A native of Wellesiey in the perâ€" son of Mrs. Geor%e Hermann, nee Matilda Margaret Kaufman, died at her home, lot 16, concession four, South Easthope, Sunday morning after an illness of one year. Deâ€" ceased was the only child of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kaufman and was born at WellelleÂ¥. June 9, 1867. She was in her 67th year. A heart attack caused death. Deceased was born in Quebec and came to Kitchener five years ago. _ _ There survive a wife and one little son, John MacGillivray Clegâ€" horn; also one sister, Miss Agnes Cleghorn of Moosomin, and one brother, W. G. Cleghorn, Kitchener. James G. Cleghorn The death took hrlace on March 23 at his home in Moosomin, Sask., of Mr. James G. Cleghorn, formerly of Kitchener, in his 73rd year. Some time a? he sustained injuries when kicked by a horse on his farm at Moosomin. After carful nursing he -fl)ened to recover but while still ill he contracted influenza and his death resulted. The funeral took place at Moosomin on March 25.
