Bowman of Gueiph were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morlock on Sunday. Three armed men on Monday, at Aurora, held up and robbed the Caâ€" nadian Bank of Commerce of $1,500. Two customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery during which the bandits fired one shot as a threatening gesture and without in juring anyone. REEVE H. GRIFFIN AND COUNCIL GIVEN ACCLAMATION The nominations at Ayr held on November 27th resulted in the reâ€" election of Reeve H. Griffin bg acclamation. Two new men, E. Howes and E. Hooton, and Wm. Appleby were reâ€"elected by acclamâ€" ation. As another councillor is Teâ€" quired to make up the fall slate, a second nomination meeting will be held in January to elect a fourth eouncillor. The three men appeared at the Aurora branch of the Canadian Bank of Commerce out of a swirling anowstorm. While two of them held the manager, two clerks, and two customers under the menace of their guns, the third member raided the teller‘s cage and scooped up a sum estimated between $1,200 and $1,500.
