Prepare For Christmas. The Baptist Sunday School and Choir will present their Christmas Cantata â€" entitled, "The _ Manger Glory," on Tuesday evening, Dec. 29th, at 8 o‘clock. Miss Sylvia Bock on behalt of the Women‘s Institute of which she is president, presented the first and second prizes of five and three dolâ€" lars to Althea Bock and Dorothy Koehler respectively, winners in the last year‘s New Dundee entrance examinations. An interesting feature of Friday evening‘s program was the presenâ€" tation to the first, second and third form pupils, and graduation diploâ€" mas to Florence Sararas and Miriam Creesman, made by Mr. K, A. Poth, secretary of the local School Board. Between acts fine musical numâ€" bere were given by Willard Schmidt and David Bergey, as well as the Pep and Personality boys of CKCR. Several vocal duets were also wellâ€" rendered by Muriel Poth and Althea Bock and Miss M. During the week‘s trial, Sally Carter, Mary‘s bosom friend, (Edith Merner), and Burt Childs, Billey‘s friend _ (Anson Lang), arrived for a visit, and when they had learned the situation they tried their utmost to restore peace beâ€" tween the husband and wife. Billey had his troubles with the houseâ€" kee{;inx. their maid Katie (Alta Stoltz), and her iceâ€"man suitor, Danny Grubb (Elmer J acob).g@An exciting part of the story was the arrest made by Murphy, a policeâ€" man and also one of Katie‘s suitors, (Weston Sararas), of Harry Steâ€" vens, â€" Sally‘s sweetheart, (Nyle Futher); however, it was a false accusation and Harry was soon found out to be a member of the famous firm, "Stevens and Son", as well as Sally‘s husband. At the end Harry promised Billey a posiâ€" tion in his office, and the Abbeys became reconciled once more, Mary promising never to complain of housework in the future. The play was a decided success and a great deal of credit is due the members of the cust and their director, Miss I. Merner. _ The New Dundee Continuation School Literary Society presented their play, "Go Slow Mary," to a large and appreciative audience in Kaveiman‘s Hall on Thursday and Friday evenings of last week. Two of the main characters in the filay were Billey Abbey, a young usband out of a job, (Walter Atâ€" kinson), and bis discontented wife, Mary (Dorothy Newberry), who after many disaireements decided to _ exchange their occupations. Billey was to be in charge of the housework for one week while Mary was to go back to office work for the same length of time, and if at the end of the week Billy was willâ€" ing to give in that keeping house was not as easy as he supposed, they would let Mary‘s mother, Mrs. Berâ€" don (Romola Madter), who was visiting them at the time, run the house. Druar, 56â€"yearâ€"old farmer and former blacksmith, who died at his home, two miles west of this village. He was born on the forâ€" mer homestead. He was a blackâ€" smith by trade, conducting a shop in Hawkesville for three years, and later in Wellesiey and since 1900 he farmed. A card party was held in the St. Clements Church Hall on Tuesday evening by the Young Ladies‘ Soâ€" dality. Progressive euchre and solo was played.
