Parents and friends in large numâ€" dbers on Friday attended the display of â€" manual _ training, _ household science and auxiliary clase work of Waterloo Public School children beld at the Alexandra School. In the afternoon the children of the two schools viewed the work of their young friends. Huenergard An esteemed resident of Kitchenâ€" er for the past forty years, Charles Louls Huenergard, passed away at the St. Mary‘s hospitel on Friday morning in his 5lst year. He had been in ill health for some time. He was born in Wellesley township. For a number of years he conducted a ‘meat market ‘business on Waterloo St. in partnership with bis father, |the late Louis Huenergard. Of late years he was employed at the Schneider Packing Co., plant. There ‘survlve his wife, three sone, Wilfred, Lloyd and Robert, one brother, Dr. Harry Huenergard, three sisters, Mrs. Robert H. Hallman Ontario Conference of United Brethren Church Concluded at Kitchener.â€"Reports Conference of the United Brethren in Christ, held at the Alma St. U. B. Church, Kitchener, has concluded. The sessions were well attended and stirring sermons were preached by well known and able ministers of the church. The death occurred early Tues day morning of Moses Gingrich, after a lingering illness, at the home of his son, Ell Gingrich, fourth conâ€" cession of Peel. The late Mr. Gingâ€" rich was born in Woolwich township on the Hy. Gingrich farm, below El mira some 75 years ago. He was a lifeâ€"long member of the Mennonite Church. Fortyâ€"five years ago he was married to Molly Bowman, after which they lived on the farm, now occupied by Ephraim Martin. Five years later he purchased the farm‘ in Peel, on which he passed away. Surviving are his widow, three daughters ‘and four «ons, namely, Mra. Edwin Snyder of near Waterâ€" loo, Mre. Seranus Martin of this place; Mrs. Ananias Martin of Peel, Amos Gingrich of near Waterloo, Nelson Gingrich, Elmira, Ozias Gingâ€" ich of Guernsey, Sask., and Eli Gingrich on the homestead. There are also a large number of grandâ€" childen and other relatives. The funâ€" eral services, held on Thursday afâ€" ternoon at one O‘clock, were largely attended by relatives and friends. Last Friday afternoon at five o‘clock lightning struck the side of the Catholic Church steeple. It was half an hour before H. E. Ratz first noticed the blaze, the shingles half way up the tower having caught fire. The local fire fighters made a quick response and soon extinguishâ€" ed the blaze. The village trustees desire to extend sincere thanks to the Waterloo fire brigade for its prompt response. â€" Their services were however not required. A more detailed account appears on page one.
