Gave Interesting Talk. to assign the cause of the fire. On Thursday, Mr. Hedrich was smoking meats, but claimed, when through, he extinguished the fire with water and also stated the base of the smokeâ€"house is protected by tin. Then again, during Thursday night there was a severe electric storm, the latter may be the most probable cause, since, from the first notice of the fire, the blaze spread very rapidly and when the firemen erâ€" rived it was beyond control. The firemen continually applied the waâ€" ter to the house which was close by and to the new Mennonite Church immediately across the street, be cuuse of the sparks flying through the air Mr. Hedrich is undecided as to plans for the future. The house which fortunately escaped any damâ€" age was occupied by Mr. Young and his family, their furniture and houseâ€" hold efects were removed to safety immediately after the fire was dis vovered.
