f HELD OVER ‘Toronto, Oct 15.â€"There were 2,300 stale cattle at the Union Stock Yerds yesterday, a few more than forecast, and, though the run of fresh cattle totalled only 1,060 head, there were about 2,000 head left unsold at clos ing time. Choice beef cattle were scarce and packers did not seem anxious for supplies of any kind. Prices on butchers dropped 25e to 50c a hundred and only three steers brought the former market of $7.50 a hundred, the next best price being $7.25 for another three animais. The majority sold between $4.50 and $7.10 a hundred. Store cattle trade continued active and the week‘s movement back to the country will probably be the largest so far this year, and well ahead of the same week last year.
