Sunrise Soliloquics John Keats has said: "The poetry of earth is ceasing never," and yes verily how true it is, for the many miracles of May are seen and even heard these mornings as soon as the shadows of the night flee away, when Mother Earth rolls eastward in her ceaseless journey in space, end comes within the sphere of the glow of what we call the rising sun. This is the week when we revive our ideas as regards our privileges as Britons. The vast heritage that Mes at our feet, and the expanse of our possessions wherever the sun doth shine, is sufficient to thrill the soul of every son and daughter of a land that resounds with freedom from sea to sea and from the river to the topmost terrace of the earth. The expansive spaces that are ours to do our part to make them blossom the unbelievablé variety of commerâ€" cial, industrial, political, social and religious problems which we have to .olve is a challenge for the very best of head, heart and hand of every one who linds himself treading the soil of a land teeming with possibilities. Our farâ€"flung interests and . exaâ€" ample should humble us as well as enthuse us as we s{fand upon the threshold of our youthful nationhood when we know that the eyes of the ends of the earth are fixed in exâ€" pectancy to see how we in our swadâ€" dling clothes grapple with the probâ€" lems that have wrinkled the brow and caused the decay of many of the older nations. So again has come around the Pmpire Day and Victoria Day, when we can renew our pledge. our faith and fealty to this land of promise, hope and liberty and with a humble and contrite heart try to grasp our place in the larger sphere â€"the Empire. _ There must be a "catch" in it somewhers, one fellow goes fishing and gets nothing and another gets all he wants in the same place. You meet people on the highway who are longing for the good old days and trying to forget the bad old â€" nights. Modernism : Soon all the vacant lots, will be "airports" for those who "go up in the air‘" over such trifles as having their eggs hardâ€"boiled. After all, Mother‘s Day is not an eightâ€"hour day. is â€"it? Spring is here, and to those who still enjoy a cross country hike, it‘s much easier getting "her" over the barbâ€"wire fences than in days . of yore. With all the rain. floods and washâ€"out ‘we have some people who still play bridge. Who‘s Who and What‘s What To Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Sittler a daughter on Wednesday May 5th. Mr. and Mrs. Chris.
