Chapman, widow of a former highly esteemed principal of the Waterloo Central School, will be sorry to hear of her death, which took place last P;lx-y, the result of a fall over a w ago, when she broke her hip. The funeral took place from her late residence, Torâ€" onto on Monday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs, H. A. Moyer and Mrs. J. Sill Jones, were visitors in Grimsby over Sunday. Dr. Graham MacLachlan of Pittsâ€" burg, Pa., was a visitor in Waterloo last week, the guest of Mr. E. F. Seagram at "Bratton House," 22 Wittow street. Currieâ€" Hamilton â€" A marriage of special interest to Twinâ€"City friends was that of Miss Mary Laura Hesâ€" peler Currie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Currie of Cornwall, Onâ€" tario, to Mr. Sidney ~Brown Hamilâ€" ton, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hamâ€" ilton of Toronto, which took place on May 28th, at Trinity Memorial church, Cornwall. The Rev, Canon Netten performed the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Kenneth Tayâ€" lor, M. A.. of Trinity Memorial Church, Montreal, cousin of the bride. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, looked loveâ€" ly in a gown of French ivory crepe satin, her court train of the satin was lined with white ninom, and the wedding veil, of old Limerick lace, worn by her great grandmother at her wedding. Mr. Percy Currie of Waterloo, brother of the bride, was one of the ushers. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the residence of the bride‘s parents, where the decorations were spring flowers. On their return from their wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilâ€" ton will take up their residence in Toronto. Mrs.Lincoln Goldie, who gave an address to the nurses who graduated recently from the Kingston Hospital was guestâ€"ofâ€"honor at a luncheon given by Mrs. W. F. Nickle during her stay in that city. At the meeting of the Courtland Avenue Home and School Club: for June, the final meeting for the term, an eloquent address by Mr. B. W. N. Grigg of ‘Waterloo, was the special feature. Outstanding feaâ€" tures emphasized were the heroism of early explorers, the bravery of first settlers, the devotion of Jesuit Missionaries, which all go to make up the glory of Canadian History. ‘The appreciation and gratitude our own and future generations owe to our predecessors was fittingly imâ€" pressed upon his hearers.
