There was a farge attendance, including ladies, at the opening meetâ€" ing for the season of the Waterloo county dental society, which was held on Wednesday, last week, in the Puslinch lake hotel, Folilowing the supper, a quanlty of routine business was put through, after which Henry Sneyd, manager of the Bank of Montreal, Preston, gave a most interesting talk on the subject of "Currency‘ from the earliest times. A large number of ladies gatherâ€" ed at the home of Mrs. R. Letson last Wednesday afternoon and held their Insitute meeling and quilted two quilts for the Kitchener orphâ€" anage, All had a mos and returned to benefitted by ou Quilting Bee. Miss Ruth Bechtel _ recited two _ recitations splendidly which were well receiyâ€" ed The toast to the Press proposed by Mr. Litwiller of New Dundee und responded to by Mr. B. W. N. Grigg of Waterloo in an eloquent address. The last toast but not the least was to the ladies proposed by Mr. W. W. Frickey and responded‘ to by Mr. C.
