Many were the hearty greetings, handâ€" shakes and congratulations extended to this remarkable man, who, after spending a full hundred years in the vicinity where he now lives, still reâ€" tains his mental faculties and a large mcasure of physical strength, and is respected by all who know him. Two days previous to this celebration Mr. Johnson had the misfortune to _ fall and fracture one of his ribs. _ From such a mishap the average ‘ man of much younger years ‘would be confinâ€" ed to his bed, but this man of many years was actively moving about among his friends as if nothing were wrong.
