Clayton Bowman arrived back home in Preston, ‘after having done his bit on the battlefields of Rurope. I‘te. Bowman went overseas with the Tist, arriving in England in April last year. He left for France on August 13th and saw fighting in the front ‘renches before he was wounded on November 13th. He was in a machine gun section and was finally wounded in the right shoulder by the explosion of a shell which tore away a good part of the muscle.
