In the early part of the year the same nurse was granted , leave of absence for 3 months owing to rheumatism; her standing in class on return to be according to seniority . of time, in school records. We congratulate them on what they have achieved and féel sure the honor _ of the Training School and the Hospital is sate in their hands. Early in the year a strong effort was made to secure and establish as a permangnt thing prizes for the nurses, as "a stimulus to good work. As a result of this effort the gold medal has become a permanent gift," and we trust that the silver â€" medal which was presented this year by Mr. Robt. Smyth, and the prize awâ€" arded last June will also be made a permanent feature of the Graduating Exercises. The medals . and ‘prizes were given â€" for general proficiency , class work, and professional conduct.
