Gentlemeu:--l beg to submit my annual report for the year 1000. Tha Inspector made his usual house to house inspection of the town and found the citizens generally willing to obey the orders made by the Board of Health. I visited personally anu nber of houses that were reported to contain contagious diseases, but failed to dis- cover any. The contagious diseases reported during the year areas fol- lows: diphtheria cases 26, deaths 1; scarlet fever oases 32.deaths 3; typhoid fever 0 :ses 17, deaths 0; tuberculosis cases 6, deaths 3. Every house was disinfected with our Formaldehyde Generator before being released from quarantine. Owing to the mild type oc scarlet fever and diphtheria a number of families had cases that had no physician in attendance. They tu1owol their children to mix with others and , in that way causing the disease to ' spread, but at present we think we have them stamped out. I am pleased to ', report that our Town has been rather free from the general epidemic of typhoid fever. The cases that, have been in Town were not using the Town water. 7 - ' . Wands. Tm (mail.
