CoMrso.--Wtubt promises to be pro- bably the best concert that ever was given here will be held in the new school house on Thursday evening. Dec.6th. The concert Will be held un- der the auspices of “Court Success No. 691 C. O. F." which hm secured the Famous Canadian Jubilee Singers and Imperial Orchestra who have very ex- tensively travelled through England, Canada and the United States. To give the general public an idea as to how they are spoken " elsewhere, we clip the following from the Toronto Globe: “The Yonge street Methodist church was filled to overflowing to hear the famous Jubilee Singers. A very bright and attractive programme was presented. The audience was greatly delighted with many of the plantation songs, some of which have never been heard in Toronto before." Rev. A. M. Phillipe, pastor of the church, says: "I have had the Cana- dian Jubilee Singers in my church and can heartily commend them both as to their character and quality of their singlng; the selections are all good and _ well rendered. I found Mr. Carter a, gentleman in every respect." Other' prominent gentlemen speak very favor- ably of them. Bear in mind that the proceeds derived from the concert will be sent tothe Sick Children’s Hospital, Toronto, and we trust that the public at large will heartily support such an institution. As regards the members ot Court Success, they are all men of our town and we congratulate them most heartin on their eiforts in having such an end in view. Come one, come all and hear the Jubilee " gore. You will perhaps never have the opportun ity of hearing them again. Popular prices. The bills and posters will be out in a few days.
