The glass had got into the sugar and into the +pple sauce unnoticed, and was not noticed by him until it had entered bis throat. The doctor caught his throatb firmly with his fingers and preâ€" vented the glass from getting any furthâ€" er down, and then he succeeded in working ib slowly out. The edges <of the piecs were sharp and the operation of exbracting ib lacerated the throat badly. His condition grew gradually worse, and although several physicians were called in the sufferer passed away shortly after miduight.
