HOW AN OLD LADY WAS RE: LEASED FROM SUFFERINXG. Mis. Mary Olmstead, a highly reâ€" «pected and wellâ€"known lady residing <outh of the village of Wheatley, eight wmiles from Leamington, h«s been the subject of an experience that has creâ€" ated not a little wouder, and has exâ€" cited so much comment in the vicinity )f the lady‘s home that the Post beâ€" lieves it will prove of general interest, Proceeding to the handsome farm residence we were ushered into a room where sat the genial old lady _ Upon eoquiry she informed us that she was, in her eightieth year, and for one of her years she is the picture of hralth. She expressed her readiness to make public the particulars of her suffering and cure, stating that while she did not care to figure prominently in the newspapers, yet if her testimony would velieve others suffering as she had doue, she would forego any scruples in the matter. _ She then related the story of her case as follows : "About gix years ago I was stricken with sciatic rheumâ€" atism, which first made its appearance in my left knee, but gradually took possession of all my limbs _ Within three months after its first appearance I was unable to leave my begd, and day and night suffered the most exeruciatâ€" ing pain. My limbs were swollen to almost twice their natural size, and drawn out of a‘l natural shape. â€"My feet were also badly swollen, and my right arm was in the shape of a semiâ€" cirele. For three long years I suffered in this mantuer, being unable to put & foot to the floor, the only way I could 1 move around was by being wheeled in i chair. My appetite gradually left: me until I had no desire or relish for food of any kind, and I got very thin and weak. â€" During all this time I kept doctoring with the medical practitionâ€" ers of the neighborhood, and swallowed gallons of medicine which cost my husâ€" bavd mach money, but I am unable to say that I received any benefit from this medicine, â€" My agony kept increasâ€" ing and my system growing weaker, till many times death would‘have been a welcome relief to my sufferings. _ Af: ter reading in the newspapers about the many cures effected by the use of \Dr. Williams‘ Pink Pills, I decided to try them. My case was a stubborn \one, and it was not until I had taken E half a dozen boxes of the pills that I began to feel an improvement. I conâ€" \tinued taking the pills, however, and never had a relapse, and toâ€"day I am E is hearty and healthy as I was before the rhsumatism came on. I am now !;Lb'.e to knit and sew as fast as any | youns person, while for years my fingâ€" |ors were as stiff as needies. _ I owe my | recovery entirely to Dr. Williams‘ Pink | Pills and will always have a_good word to say for them," o on en Dr. Williams‘ Pink Pills may be bad of all draggists or direct by mail from Dr Williams‘ Medicine Co, Brockâ€" ville, Ont., or Schenectady, N.Y. at 30 |cent~ a box, or six boxes for £$2.50. | Sold only in boxes, the wrapper around which beats the company‘s trade mark. I have to obey the laws, and am not exempt from any penalty for breakâ€" ing them: I ought in fairness to share all the privileges, too.: t 3 Et pa_\c" taxes, I ought to have a voice in the spending of the public money. _ _ =_ lsnls 4. ~ It is the essence of slavery for one set of adult human beings to hbe ruled absolutely by another setâ€"slavâ€" orvy is bad for both master and slave. â€" 5. The stigma of inferiority I bear in common with idiots, crimina‘s, pauâ€" pers, lunaties and children is degradâ€" ing and intolerable. | 6. It is my duty to care for nationâ€" al morality, and to have power to inâ€" fluence public action for good:. < | T.
