Hamilton, March 17.â€"A curious suit will come up here at the next asâ€" sizes. 8. F. Washington, this city, has issued a writ against Fulford & Co., of Brockville, proprietors of "Pink Pills," on behalf of Melvin Long, of Nelson, The Fipst Train Into Jerusalem. We are now at the Jerusalem staâ€" tion, which is 2,480 feet above the leâ€" vel of the station at Jaffa, and we have made the journey in three hours aud a half. Two years and a half have been occupied in building the road, and the cost of it was not far from $2,000, 000.. Four dollars will buy a roundâ€" trip ticket, first class, good for two days, from Jerusalem to Jaftfa. On Sunday, Aug. 21, an engins came within a few bundred yards of the Jerusalem station, but the track to it had not then been Jaid, and it was not until Saturday, ‘Aug. 27, at 10 o‘clock in the forencon, that the first through train from Jaffa, with engine and passenger cars, actuâ€" ally arrived at the station. This is stated as official information, partly for the reason that some persons like. to be exact in such matters, and partly beâ€" cause the report has, either through oversight or carlessness, been widely, circulated that the first arrived at Jerâ€" usalem on Sunday, Aug. 21, which is not historically correct.â€"[Selah Merrill U. 8. consul, in the March Scribner. He then returned to his old home in Waterloo, and at once began to work at his trade, which he followed about 33 years. So there are a goodly number of monuments of his mason work through the County of Waterloo Mrs. 0. Clemens of Galt visited her son W. H. Clemens and other friends her last week.
