- This is the 1918 financial statement from St. Louis Roman Catholic Church. The majority of the booklet lists the church members and what money they contributed to the church through pew rentals, monthly building fund contributions, subscription payments, Easter collection and Christmas collection. Additionally, this booklet lists the church regulations and all of the expenses of the church.
St. Louis congregation began in 1889 when Waterloo Catholics petitioned Reverend Louis Funcken of St. Mary's Church, Berlin (Kitchener) for a Catholic church in Waterloo. The original church building was dedicated on January 6, 1891.The church underwent a large expansion in 1914, and the on-going payment of the building loan can be seen in this financial statement.
