Description
This is a handwritten biography of Adam Klippert from the Ellis Little Papers. This biography has been transcribed exactly as written. Ellis Little was a local historian, who was the principal of Elizabeth Ziegler Public School. On his retirement, he invested much of his time in researching and writing about Waterloo's history. The Ellis Little Papers consist of extensive notes, papers and historical works.

Adam Klippert was born in Germany in 1837 and came to Berlin (Kitchener) in 1853. Soon after he moved to Waterloo. He worked for Mathias Wegenast in in his furniture factory on King St. S at Allen St. Later he became a partner with Wegenast in that business. In the late 1890s, he decided to go into the undertaking business and continued in this line for a number of years. When he died in 1917, at age 79, he had been a resident of the town for more than 40 Years.
