Born: 1867 Died 1927

Married: Christina Fink

Christopher Nicholas Huether inherited the Lion Brewery and the Huether Hotel when his father Christopher died in 1898. The business was encumbered by a large mortgage and when the debt was called for payment, Christopher Nicholas was unable to meet his obligations and had to give up ownership. But this financial blow did not prevent him from continuing in the brewery business. In the early 1900s he began construction of the Lion Brewery in Berlin on the corner of King St and Wilmont Rd (Victoria St). When production warranted it he began to compete with the Kuntz Brewery in Waterloo that now had purchased the Huether Hotel. He established a depot in the Huehs' Blacksmith shop at King St and Bridgeport Rd.
