Ontario Mutual Life Assurance Company was incorporated in 1868, and in 1900 the name was changed to Mutual Life Assurance Company of Canada. They moved their offices to 227 King Street South in c.1913. In 1988 they became a part of the Mutual Group. The company name changed to Clarica in 1999, and then to Sun Life in 2002.
