Married: Katherine Hahn, Elizabeth

Elias Good was also a son of farmer and surveyor Joel Good. When he became of age he apprenticed in the printing trade. After his marriage to Katherine Hahn, the couple traveled to Kansas where he intended to use his experience in the printing trade. Earlier his two brothers Jonathan and Issac had moved to this state as well as other Waterloo residents such as Samuel Burkholder and his six boys. One of the places in the area where they settled was named Canada Kansas.

Elias and his family stayed there for eight years and then returned to Waterloo. At this time he built a two story white brick home on the corner of Albert St N and Jefferson St. (now Seagram Dr.) which was on land that his grandfather John Good had taken up in 1818. Elias later moved to Duke St in Kitchener where he continued his trade as a printer.
