Franklin Good was the eldest son of Joel Good and grew up on the home farm. He used his early farm experience when he became a drover. He traveled around the area buying and selling cattle and other farm animals. In later years he became ill and c.1929 traveled to Chicago for an operation. However, it was not a success and he died there at the age of 72.

- This is a handwritten biography of Franklin Good from the Ellis Little Papers. This biography has been transcribed exactly as written. Ellis Little was a local historian, who was the principal of Elizabeth Ziegler Public School.On his retirement, he invested much of his time in researching and writing about Waterloo's history. The Ellis Little Papers consist of extensive notes, papers and historical works.
