Born ?, Died 1923

Married: Sibella Nickel

Simon the son of Cyrus Bricker, early on became involved in his father's general store business. A little later, with his experience in the retail trade he accepted a position as traveler for the wholesale dry goods firm of Bones and Hanger with headquarters in Buffalo, New York.

When his father Cyrus became ill in 1887 he returned to Waterloo and took over the family share in the "Great Corner Store" located in unit one of the Commercial Block. Over the years this store was a favourite for shoppers, having always a large and up to date stock.

Over the years, the store's name changed several times reflecting changes in partnership- Bricker and Diebold, S.B. Bricker and Co., Bricker and Germann. The Brickers lived in the home on the corner of King St and Allen St. Today Allen square stands in its place. His son William Ralph worked in insurance business in 1932 and organized one of the first Waterloo insurance and investment firms called Seagram-Hanes and Bricker.
