- This letter is from W.J. May, District Superintendent to Albert Schmuck. This letter informs Schmuck that he has been appointed the Postmaster of the Waterloo Post Office and that Schmuck is to meet at the Waterloo Post Office on June 2 to receive the job transfer.
Albert Schmuck held the position of Waterloo Postmaster from 1928 until his death in 1933. Albert Schmuck served in the 118th Battalion during the First World War and died from injuries sustained from mustard gas attacks. - Notes
- This letter has been torn along the crease and was previously repaired with tape.
There is a very faint "3" in the date, but the letter must be dated as June 1st and not June 31st because there are only thirty days in the month of June. - Place of Publication
