- This is a letter from W.J. May who was the district superintendent of the Postal Service, addressed to Albert L. Schmuck. This letter acknowledges his application for the position of Postmaster at Waterloo. Albert Schmuck went on to hold the position of Postmaster from 1928 until his death in 1933. Albert Schmuck served in the 118th Battalion during the First World War and died from injuries sustained from mustard gas attacks.
