- Description
- This photo shows a crane lowering a piece of the new railing that is being installed on the upper deck of the Waterloo Tennis Club's Clubhouse.
In the WTC Sidelines Newsletter, February 2001, an article was published called "Balcony Repairs - We Need Your Support" by Jennifer Berry and Dev Handa. This article urged WTC members to donate money to help offset the $20 000 repairs that were required for the Clubhouse balcony. Part of the fundraising campaign included flyers, display boards and a painted tennis ball display tracking the amount of giving. By the March 2001 edition of WTC Sidelines, the members had raised just under $2000 towards their goal of $8000, which would allow the rest of the cost to be offset by the club reserves. - Notes
