- This picture shows Marten Johnston watering the outdoor tennis courts at the Waterloo Tennis Club. The clay, Har-Tru, courts require watering to add stability to the court.
Marten Johnston was a longtime club member, playing competitively, as well as having many other roles. Johnston was originally hired by the club to be the tennis coordinator, and became the maintenance manager, desk staff and the tennis development coordinator during his years of employment (1986-2009).
