- Group photograph of Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital (later Grand River Hospital) staff including Dr. William J. Fischer (seated on steps) in front of main entrance of hospital. Group includes three doctors and eight nurses in uniform.
- Notes
- Dr. William J. Fischer returned to Waterloo in 1904 from his medical studies in London, Ontario, and practiced medicine in Kitchener and Waterloo until his death from cancer in 1920. He was married to Caroline Kuntz, daughter of brewery owner Louis Kuntz. In 1918 he was appointed Medical Director for the Mutual Life Assurance Company.
