One of the Kuntz family established a brewery in Carlsruhe near Hanover Ontario. The large unused brick building is still there. It also was named the Lion Brewery or Schwan Brewery

In Waterloo, at 61 King St N, next to the Huether Hotel is an entrance to Barley Works. At the street level there are 2 concrete lions with the letter H. They look very old and are likely from the Hotel when it was the Lion Brewery in the 1800's
