- Notes
- Horse drawn railway cars operated between 1889 and 1895 at which time the whole system was converted to electric cars. The company was taken over by the Town of Berlin (Kitchener) in 1907. Streetcar operations in Kitchener came to an end on December 27, 1946.
The Canadian Block is located at the corner of King and Foundry (now Ontario) streets on the north side of King Street in Kitchener. The original frame building was built by Jacob Yost Shantz in 1854. It burned down in 1861 and was rebuilt in brick around 1864-1865.
