- View of the Waterloo City hall from Erb Street at Albert Street. In the background can be seen the Waterloo Fire hall and tower. City bandstand can be seen on the left. No telegraph or telephone poles visible, Erb Street not paved, globe street lights visible.
- Notes
- The first City Hall was built at the corner of Albert and Erb Streets in 1874. The city offices moved in 1961 and the building was demolished in 1969.
The fire hall was built circa 1870 and demolished in 1966.
The bandstand was donated by Joseph E. Seagram in 1884. The original bandstand was situated right on the corner of Albert and Erb streets; it was moved later to accomodate widening of the streets. - Subject(s)
