Mr. Boyle was born in Greenock, Scotland, on May 1, 1842, and emigrated to Canada 1856. He was a blacksmith, teacher, and writer; the first Provincial Archaeologist in Ontario, the first superintendent of the Provincial Museum and the first secretary of the Ontario Historical Society. He died Feb.14, 1911. - Inscriptions
