This is a photograph of Robert Laidlaw Shortreed (1812-1901). He is my great-great grandfather and, if you wish, I can tell you a good deal about him (and his family, his father was one of Guelph's first residents). He lived his later years in Elora and at one time owned the mill in nearby Salem.
