I am pretty sure that the man on the left is Colonel A. H. Fair the owner of Hemlock parks Farms. The man on the right could be my Grandfather Russell Lovelace but I am not sure about that. I have photos of him but never dressed up and at a older age. I was born in 1940 and my Grandfather Russell and Grandmother Laura brought me up from around the age of 3 or 4. My Grandfather was the manager of Mr Fairs many farms that he owned and I worked my summer holidays with my Grandfather from the age of 7 and I all so worked in the dairy in Kingston a couple summers till I moved to Toronto in 1957 The truck makes me think that it is my Grandfather because I do remember it well. it was a Dodge or a Fargo and I drove it many times learning to drive on the farm with him.

Would like to get in touch with Wayne Lovelace as I am doing some research on the Fair property and activities during the 20th century. These are great images, wish there were more!

My grandfather Reginald Chase was a manger of "the big barn" My mother Freda still tells stories of her early days there. Of the men going to war yet her father and other men were exempt due to managing the farm Also how the women went to work at Alcan during war time. She has very vivid memoeies of her childhood.

After speaking with my mom, she told me that the man in the dark suit was Mr Peters. He was an accountsnt for Colner Fair. Mom is Freda Chase Sweetman. Her father was a foreman of one of the barns when she was a child. (Now 84 years old.

She remembers conversations with Colner Fair where they were sllowed to look at the gazing balls in his yard but couldn’t touch.
