Scottish Travel Album I (XS1 MS A195)
This compilation of 138 photographs is housed in a bound album of Scottish travel views. The album, titled “Album of Photographs”, measures 25 x 36.5 cm and was compiled ca. 1890. The photographs have been predominantly produced by renowned Scottish photographers and publishers James Valentine & George Washington Wilson. Each print contains the photograph’s title, corresponding negative number, and the photographer’s initials. The album also contains numerous duplicate copies and views from England, which have not been digitized.
