GEORGE O. MARACLE
A long-time Midland res-ident, George Orval Maracle, died Dec. 12 at his Bay Street home. He was 81.
Born March 21, 1883 at Deseronto, Ontario, he was educated there. On Sept. 30 1908, he married the former Emma Pearl Green at Midland and had lived here for 57 years. A laborer, Mr. Maracle was a member of the Anglican Church and was fond of hockey.
Funeral service was conducted Dec. 15 from the Nicholls funeral home by Rev. L. J. Delaney. Temporary entombment was in Lakeview Cemetery vault.
Pallbearers were Clint Shea, Garland Maracle, Raymond Maracle, Bill Gray, Clint Culbertson and Norm Savage. Honorary pallbearer was Henry Wood.
Mr. Maracle is survived by his wife Emma Pearl, Midland, sons Donald and David, Toronto, two grandchildren and two great -grandchildren, all of Toronto.
Out - of - town relatives and friends attending the service came from Toronto, Medina, New York, Port McNicoll, Victoria Harbour, Burlington and Acton.
