Obituary
J.M. Maracle
The death occurred on May 3, 1981 in Huronia District Hospital, following a lengthy illness, of Josephine M. (Dorion) Maracle. She was 86 years of age.
Mrs. Maracle, a widow, the wife of the late Mitchell R. Maracle, lived all of her life in Penetanguishene. She was born in Tiny Township, the daughter of the late Alfred Dorion and the late Emily Gregoire.
Her home was at 22 Peel Street, Penetanguishene.
Sons Bernard and Emerson (Ben) Maracle, both of Penetanguishene, and daughters Stella (Mrs. Doug Crawley) of Port McNicoll and Margaret (Mrs. Ed Trottier) of Penetanguishene, survive her.
Surviving brothers and sisters are Alfred, Ida, Theophile, and Philip Dorion, all of Lafontaine and Mrs. Liza Picotte, Mrs. Cecile Legault, and Mrs. Roseanna Deschambault, all of Penetanguishene.
Mrs. Maracle has 16 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Her daughter Yvonne Maracle and her brother Antoine Dorion predeceased her, as well as her husband.
St. Ann's Memorial Church, Penetanguishene, was the scene of the funeral service on May 6, 1981 with Fr. Louis Dignard officiating.
Interment in St. Ann's Cemetery, Penetanguishene.
Pallbearers were grandsons: Glen Trottier, Peter Maracle, Trent Maracle, Edward Maracle, Nelson Maracle, and Albert Maracle.
