France Feb. 14
Dear Sister;
I received your
welcome letter - all O.K.
& was glad to hear
from you. As you see
I am in France & have
been here about three
months now. I am
well & was glad to
hear you are the
same. I got the fifteen
dollars all right. I sent
a letter to you some
time ago saying that
I had got it but you
may not have received
it. So Jake has made
himself scarce. Hes had
quite a time hasn't
he. I have been up
the line a couple
of times now so
have seen a little
bit so far. At present
we are at a school.
Jim Barnhart is (?)
here as well as
myself. If you get a
chance too write again
my address is Pte. D
Green..no 644772. no 5
platoon "B" loy. 1st Canadian
Batt. B.E.F. France. There
is not much more
to tell you off France
is a very muddy
country at least what
I've seen of it. The
last two days seems
to be real spring
like. It is very hard
to tell how the weather
is apt to go, as it
changes so often. Well
so long. From
Your Loving Bro.
