A visit to the Minnova mine at Winston Lake highlighted the weekend for all Wolf Cubs who attended the Schreiber Cub-o-ree at Rainbow Falls Provincial Park.. The Schreiber Cubs were this year's host to Cub packs from Marathon, Manitouwadge and Terrace Bay. for the weekend of June15. After the mine tour on Saturday morning, and some lunch, the Cubs spent the afternoon playing a games that included Tug-O-War, Hat Throw, using hard hats, Horseshoes, using large clamps. It must be noted that the Cubs, 42 strong, won two Tug- O-Wars against the Leaders. Points were awarded for inspections and during the games, except for the Tug-O- War, as the teams were competing for the coveted Bone Award. Saturday a formal campfire was held with each Cub Pack performing a skit and a song. On Sunday morning a Sunrise Service was held followed by a cenit Hunt.
