Two Lake Superior High School students, Tosha Veinot, 16, and Paula Doucet, 15, were Sitting outside of the building when the roof fell in. One ambulance attendant had the area secured and was communicating with the ambulance station and the hospital while others were evacuating students. A school bus was called in to take students who were injured, but could still walk, to the hospital. Veinot and Doucet assisted the walking injured onto the bus and stayed with them until they reached the hospital. Music for a summer evening Two generations singing with one voice performed a very special concert at Lake Superior High School, Terrace Bay Campus, on Friday evening, June 7. The North Bay Interlink Choir gave an upbeat and positive evening of song to those in attendance. The choir is made up of senior citizens and children and while music is the vehicle the heart of Interlink is the caring relationships that form through the exchange of pen pal letters. Life experiences are shared, bonds are created and the generation gap begins to close. Interlink provides an opportunity for seniors to enjoy the rich rewards of a caring child and gives youngsters a greater awareness, understanding and appreciation of an older adult. The North Bay Interlink choir stopped in Terrace Bay as part of its three day tour in communities between Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay. The Schreiber/Terrace Bay Lions Club and Lake Superior High School sponsored the choirs' visit to Terrace Bay.
