Page 9, News, Tuesday, February 12, 1991 The Terrace Bay Legion Eagles | by Rob Cotton The News Terrace Bay's Peewee hockey team has chosen a name and an emblem for itself - the eagle. The team will be known as the Terrace Bay Legion Eagles. "We got together as a team and thought the eagle would represent us very well," said Chris Joubert, team coach. Members of the team were asked to design an emblem and the one produced by Jesse Black was to chosen to be weed. = Jesse's eagle has. been reproduced on a crest that has been placed on a hat. The idea of a name for the team, the crests and the hats is to promote the team and the When we hear of joy rid- ing we envision a young per- son taking their parents vehi- cle. However the criminal act which took place Saturday August 18, 1990 in Terrace Bay near Kimberly Clarke mill was more than just fun. It did not include a small vehicle either. Unknown persons started up sonie heavy Construction equipment and drove around a construction site. They went through bush and up steep hills in such a manner that extensive damage was caused. In all, two Caterpillar front end loaders and two Caterpillar 35 ton all-terrain "Hal Pacs" were taken. Two of the four driven were dam- aged and had to be repaired before they could be used again, which caused the owner costly delays. The thieves stole a Uniden 40 channel CB radio, which is engraved for identifica- tion, as well as three 24 volt lights. The person responsi- ble had knowledge of how to operate such vehicles. During the season the Terrace Bay team lost three games in sudden death overtime in the Schreiber Tournament, came in third in the Red Rock Tournament, second in the Thunder Bay Win or lose, we lose continued from page 5 Canada, once the most peace- loving, peace-keeping nation in the world after Switzerland, seems to have given up its vir- ginity quite willingly and according to the polls, is very much liking it's ride on the war wagon so far. And due to heavily cen- sored reports and active misin- formation campaigns, the world is still not sure if Wolf Blitzer is a man or a secret missile. : We'll just have to wait for the movies - I'm betting on seven films in 1992 alone.
