Prizes awarded were: wildest shoes- Danny Derkson; wackiest shoes- Kelly Derkson; most florescent outfit- Lindsay Withers; zaniest hat- Jonathan Sechesky; oldest participant- Bill Dodds; and youngest participant- Jessica Pawson. Honorable men- tions went to Bill Dodds, Yvonne Arsenault, Dr. Mike McCausland, John Atkinson, Tammy Noble, and Adam Martin (who walked with a broken collarbone). Hats off to the residents of Terrace Bay for making the 1990 Fun Run so successful. Programs 'Come Sew with us'- Elise Kenny- Elise will be offering this 4-week consultation program for those interested in getting togeth- er once a week to sew. Elise will provide assistance to those in the class, on an informal basis. This will be held June 6 to June.27 on Wednesdays from 7:00- 9:30 p.m. Minor Ball/Soccer Programs- The deadline for reg- istration was Tuesday, May 22. Deadline to register is June 15th. Summer Playground- Registration forms are being dis- tributed throughout the schools for this year's summer play- ground open to children ages 3 to 12 years. Congratulations are still in order for the 723 peo- ple who came out to participate. the winners are: eldest male- Al Slatter; eldest female- Winnie Campbell; youngest- Tyler Belec; largest family- Max Miller and ladies. Figliomeni, Lisa Spadoni and Marg Young. Minor Ball Program- The leagues that have coaches will get under way at the end of the month. Those leagues that do not will be starting as soon as volun- teers can be found to coach the teams. ~All Night Ball Tournament- This has been scheduled for Saturday, June 16th. Registration deadline is Friday, June 4th. Registration forms are available at the Recreation Office. The tournament is limited to the first 12 teams registered so get your registration in soon. this year's tournament will be even more fun than last year so get extra sleep and come out and enjoy the fun. Adult Ball- All leagues are now in full swing with the men's league playing Sunday and Monday evenings, ladies Tuesdays and mixed Wednesday through Sunday. We are anticipating operat- ing two- three week swim pro- grams at White Sand Beach again this year. The first will start in early July and the second will commence the last week of July and end around August 17th. Canada Day Celebrations- The Rec Committee is busy preparing the celebrations. Any groups or individuals wishing to assist or volunteer ideas for addi- tional programs contact Rec Office. This year's program will again teature the 5 km road race. All events are scheduled for Saturday, June 30th. Junior/Youth Golf- Junior/Youth golfers are encour- aged to golf throughout the week - providing there is not a Special Event taking place. The Aguasabon Golf Club has set aside tee-off times for young golfers, throughout the week- as follows: Monday- 3:45- 4:45 p.m. and Thursday- 3:45- 4:45 p.m. They are hoping to provide Golf Clinics for the young golfers - later this season.
