Present were: Reeve Jim Ziegler; Councillors- Bill Houston, Chris Joubert, and John St. Amand; and Staff- Dave Fulton, and L. Mitchell. Council will donate $50.00 to the Rossport Fish Derby. Council will make a donation of $626.99 to the Terrace Bay Boy Scouts for their 1988 proper- ty taxes on the Scout hall and will make an additional donation in the amount of the 1990 property taxes on the Scout Hall. Reeve Ziegler, with the agree- ment of Council, appointed Councillor Joubert as Council's representative on the McCausland Hospital Board of Governors. Terrace Bay Hydro will enter into an agreement with Jim Ziegler to permit construction of a carport at 2 Parkway Place that would encroach on a Terrace Bay Hydro easement. The power lines adjacent to the property will be raised if necessary. An encroachment agreement will be entered into regarding the encroachment of the Terrace Bay Hydro line on Mr. Ziegler's prop- erty. Dean Main will be set at Step 5 of the Senior Staff Salary Grid effective January 1, 1990. Council will advance the Terrace Bay Lion's Club $1,500 as a loan for the Canada Day Circus. Council will donate $50.00 to the Cystic Fibrosis Telethon. Reeve Ziegler commented on the meetings he has had recently with the Terrace Bay Public and St. Martin's Schools with regards to the environment. He was impressed with their knowledge on recycling and the environ- ment, and has responded individ- ually to their letters.
