The legion thank everyone who assisted in their program and to those who attended to make it a successful event. Terrace council defeats motion for radioactive waste management site By Dave Chmara Terrace Bay council defeated a resolution concerning taking fur- ther steps to look into the siting of a low-level radioactive waste management facility in Terrace Bay. With the defeat of the resolu- tion comes the end of any chance of having such a facility located in the area. Rita had fifteen grand- Canada Post Corporation / Société canadienne des postes SPEZIALE: on Friday August 4th, 1989 Rita Speziale at the age of 61 passed away at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Rita was predeceased by her husband Vincenzo and Daughter Susanne. Rita will be sadly missed by her six children, 3 Daughters, Frances Labarre husband Frank. and family, Rosa Speck husband Gary and family, Mary Luchik and family, 3 sons, Cosimo Speziale and wife Linda and family, Ted Speziale wife Maria and children, Adrian, Stephanie, Michael, Trevor, Tracy, Jacqueline, Vince, Aarren, Derek, Ryan, Devin, Dean, Ashley, Kimberly and Samantha all of whom will miss her deeply. Rita is survived by her mother Alice Jodouin and her sister Jackie Roy husband Gilles and family. Her many relatives and friends too numerous to mention also grieve her loss. Funeral Mass was held at Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, Schreiber on Tuesday August 8th conducted by Father Rademaker. Interment followed in Schreiber Cemetery. Arrangements were made by King Funeral Home. Honorary Pallbearers were her nephews, Joey Speziale, Tony Costa, Lawrence Spezialc, Dennis Speziale, Frank Trichilo, Robert Speziale and Ronny Speziale. Active Pallbearers were her grandsons, Adrian and Michael Labarre, Trevor and Tracy Speck, and Nephews Stephen Speziale and Marc Trichilo. Readings during the service were by her grand-daughters Stephanie Speck and Jacqueline Labarre and a spe- cial reading dedicated from her children was read by her Brother-in- law Tony Speziale.
