The purpose of this display will be to have the public visit and learn about policing in our area. The display will take place in the lounge of the Terrace Bay Curling Club. Guests to assist in this display will be: Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Ontario Provincial Police, Ministry of Natural Resources and Canadian Pacific Police. Any questions pertaining to Police operations can be answered by the various police agencies in attendance. As a special guest for this year's Police Week, we will have an RCMP Sergeant who is the Drug Awareness Co-ordinator for the Province of Ontario. Court Provincial Offences Court was held on April 26, 1989 at 11:00 _a.m, in the Schreiber Legion. Darcy Bain of Rossport, Lisa Cloutier of Terrace Bay, Denis R. Tremblay of Schreiber, Terry Vezina of Schreiber and Eric S. Williams of Perth were all fined $503.75 for driving their motor vehicles without insurance. This fine is mandatory in all cases of driving without insurance. Serge Brochu of Terrace Bay pled guilty to two charges of "driving a motor vehicle while licence under suspension". The He will be attending at Marathon, Schreiber, Terrace Bay, Nipigon and Red Rock in addition to being present for our Wednesday display. fine was $253.75 and a six month licence suspension on each of the Terrace Bay Police Force charges. Gordon Caldwell pled guilty to the Ministry of Natural Resources charge of "angling with too many lines." The fine was $83.75. There were several other minor matters covered in court.
