Children's Events at the Golf Course- Wednesday, July 1, 1-3 p.m. Also as part of the Canada Day celebrations, the Tot Lot staff are planning to have games and fun activities fo; children of all ages at the golf course. Bring your children and let them join in on the fun. Tot Lot Registration Tot Lot is a summer program presented to the community by the recreation department. What is Tot Lot? It is a pro- gram of crafts, special events and exciting activities for youths from the ages of three to 12 years. Where: In the arena or out- doors, weather permitting. When: Monday to Friday from July 6 to August 23. Whe. Ernie and Bert group, ages 5-6 years Tot Lot group, ages 5-6 years Summer Day Camp, ages 7-14 years Registration fees are nominal and forms have been distributed throughout 'he schools and are available at the recreation office from June 22 to July 2. Programs Tennis Lessons Several persons have expressed an interest in having a Tennis Lesson Clinic established through the recreation depart- ment. If you are interested in learn- ing the fundamentals of tennis or how to improve your serve, call the recreation office at 3542 to register. Ball Hockey The recreation department is currently taking names of anyone interested in recreation ball hock- ey. Call the office to register. New Summer Hours We wish to inform the commu- nity that the summer hours at the office are now in effect. Hours: June 1 to August 31: Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ; Saturday and Sunday, 1-9 p.m. Please take note. Men's Slow Pitch The men's league is well underway for another season. One-third of the schedule has | been played and team standings are: Tigers: 6 wins, 1 loss; New Yorkers: 5 wins, 2 losses; Stingers: 5 wins, 2 losses (tie); Lakers: 4 wins, 2 losses; Rebels: 4 wins, 3 losses; Goodtimers: 3 wins, 5 losses; Strange Brew: 3 wins; 5 losses (tie); Truckers: 2 wins, 4 losses; Bears: 0 wins, 8 losses.
