Tea & Bake Sale The Ladies Auxiliary Branch 223 had their year- ly Tea and Bake Sale on November 2nd. : The tea pourers for the first hour were Clerence Mercier and Doris Marcella, for the 2nd hour they were Cora Ropchan and Harry Gusul. Linda Falzetta was in charge of the tea table, Lillian Belliveau the raf- fles, Pam Jones the book table and the bake table was worked by Cora Rop- chan, Rose Marie Thorpe and Dolly Sitko. The afghan was won by Alice Theriault, the table clothg by Marlene Kostecki of Schreiber, the Black Forest Cake by Y. Mallais and the door prize by Marilyn MoQuin. The President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Adelaide Beaulieu would like to thank the men for helping and to all the people that at- tended for their support. Terrace Bay Police Report Several tickets were issued over the past week regarding Parking Violations. One intoxicated person was picked up and lodged in the Schreiber Cells over- night. A further check on this person. revealed outstanding warrants in the area: and he was subse- quently returned to Nipigon in answer to the warrants. Halloween. Night was APPOINTMENT TOM A. DICKSON Come Carbonneau, President of Corporation Falconbridge Copper is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom A. Dickson as Mine Manager at the new Win- ston Lake mine located near Schreiber in northwestern Ontario Mr. Dickson joined the Falcon- bridge Group in 1979 as General Superintendent at United Keno Hill Mines Limited and has been Mine Manager there since 1982. Prior to joining the company he held several technical and supervisory positions with other mining com- panies in Zambia and Canada for the most part unevent- ful with the exception of a few minor incidents involv- ing pranks which were taken care of by Police with no charges being laid. One theft under $200 was reported by Kimberly Clark and is still under investigation. One report. of wilful damage to a vehicle was in- vestigated by police. Police investigated a theft of parts from a vehi- cle. There are no suspects at this time but frequent patrols will be made in the area to ensure no further problems of this nature occur. A call for assistance regarding an unstable per- son was responded to by Police who then escorted a local resident to the Hospital where he was ad- mitted for treatment. One report of lost eye glasses was taken. Police investigated one Motor Vehicle Accident on private property. There was minimal damage and no charges laid.
