As I decorate the Christmas tree With treasures ever dear My thoughts are of my loved ones The folks no longer here The funny little old Santa We've had for many a year I place near the top of the Christmas tree As I shed a foolish tear The holiday season is wonderful We're as happy as can be But my heart does ache for the touch of a hand Of the folks we no longer see The lights and silver tinsel Thee angel on top of the tree Bring memories of Christmas past And the folks who were very dear to me.
